Marriage is one of the oldest customs in the world, so when Lavish were approached to work with Before After on The Great Eastern Hotel’s Bridal Catalogue in 2007, we took the opportunity to blend centuries of history with a twist of modernity. Using our team of stylists, hair and make-up artists, and models to mix vintage fashion with contemporary design, and classic interiors with compositions bordering on the surreal, Lavish created a sumptuous world of artistry, luxury and romance.

With concepts such as ‘Let them eat cake’, and ‘Build us a Stairway to Heaven’, Lavish and Before After took the form of the traditional Bridal photograph and transformed it into a series of highly individual stories – each encapsulated by a single intriguing shot designed to capture both the minds and the hearts of fiances everywhere.
